Having Qualified & Trained Teachers, Coastal Kids Academy of SC, devotes many resources for training to all of their teachers. They have at least 15 hours of educational training hours each year and are CPR and First Aid certified.

Kristen Buccilli- Owner/Director
Kristen has her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Minor Degree in English from Coastal Carolina University. Kristen grew up with a family full of teachers interesting her in becoming one herself. After graduating from Coastal, she took a 4K teaching position at a local daycare. She then was presented an opportunity to open her own daycare, Coastal Kids Academy of SC.
Kayla Reitz- Assistant Director
Kayla has her associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Horry Georgetown Technical College. She became a 4K teacher, which pursued her interest in becoming an Assistant Director. Kayla has been in childcare for 5 years and an Assistant Director for 4 years.
Ashley Dunne- Assistant Director
Ashley has her Associates of Arts degree from Southeastern Community College. She has volunteered at churches working with 3 and 4 year old's, which lead her into becoming a daycare teacher. Ashley has worked in childcare for 5 years. She has worked her way up from Infant Assistant teacher, to Lead T-1 teacher, and now Assistant Director. Her hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed!
Christine has her Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with focus in Early Childhood Education from Coastal Carolina University. She has been working with young children for over 10 years; she has done everything from babysitting, to substitute teaching for Horry County Schools, to becoming an Infant and One Year Old teacher for us at CKA. Seeing each child's face light up when they learn something new is what she loves about her job. Knowing that she is helping children learn and grow and making an impact on their growth and development is what is most rewarding to her. Her goal in education is to make sure each child is loved and feels safe.
Kayla volunteered at Cincinnati's Children's for 6 months and worked at the YMCA as a toddler teacher before joining our team as our Two Year Old Teacher. Kayla loves that no day is every the same & loves seeing how much children learn and grow from day one. Her goal is to help instill lasting values and assist in crucial developmental stages of children's lives.
Madeline started going to school at HGTC to be a nurse where she realized that was not for her. She changed her major to Early Childhood Education and has completed all of her prerequisite Education courses. She began working with children in 2018 as an Afterschool Teacher and was a substitute teacher for various Elementary schools before joining our team at CKA. Madeline loves seeing the smile on each child's face when they learn something new. One of her biggest goals is to make sure each child knows that they are loved and that she has made a positive impact on their lives!
Jill has been working with children in childcare since 1998. Jill has an associates degree from Our Lady of Directory Secretarial School. She moved to South Carolina in 2018 and has been an amazing asset to our school family. Ms. Jill brings so many fun and educational crafts, games, science & cooking experiments into her classroom. She enjoys watching each child in her class grow as an individual and a student!
Jessica has her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at FSU and her M.ED of Education from Strayer University. Jessica has a passion for teaching and education because she loves working with young children and watching them grow. Ms. Jessica has been our First Steps Lead Teacher for 4 years now!
Suzanne has her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minor in English. When Suzanne graduated college, she worked as a TSS Agent with special needs children. She then become a substitute preschool teacher for the public school system before joining our CKA team. Suzanne loves shaping children's minds and helping them learn and grow.
